My involvement in darts began around 2015, when I purchased a dartboard and cabinet primarily as a decorative feature for my outdoor kitchen. What started as occasional games with a friend quickly developed into a genuine interest in the sport. However, we found that manually tracking scores on a dry-erase board was inefficient and disruptive to the flow of play.

Motivated to improve the experience, I designed and developed an automated scoring system known as dartSI. This solution streamlined gameplay by eliminating the need for manual scorekeeping, allowing players to focus on performance and enjoyment.

Recognizing its broader potential, I later adapted dartSI for commercial use in bars and entertainment venues. The system was redesigned to function similarly to a vending machine, enabling establishments to generate revenue while offering customers an enhanced darts experience. Through this initiative, dartSI units were installed in bars across the country, and I established a darts team to help promote the product and increase visibility within the community.

As opportunities expanded, I was approached by professional darts player Danny Baggish, who expressed interest in joining the team. This partnership marked a turning point in my journey, ultimately leading me to become a DRA-registered PDC agent and to manage Danny’s professional career. Transitioning from a newcomer to working alongside top players in the sport has been both unexpected and rewarding.

Looking ahead, I plan to focus on the sale of darts and related equipment as I prepare for retirement from my primary career. This next chapter reflects both my passion for the sport and my desire to remain actively engaged in the darts community.
